Fashion has been my passion since I was 15 years old. I designed garments and experimented with fabrics long before I ever studied fashion professionally.
For many years, I believed I couldn't become a fashion designer because I couldn't draw perfect fashion croquis. Later I realised that creativity comes before perfect illustration. That belief changed everything.
In 2020, I completed my Diploma in Fashion Designing & Garment Technology, and continued learning through specialised courses in fashion illustration, Adobe Illustrator, garment construction and fashion design.
With over 20 years of experience teaching Mental Maths and French, I combined my love of teaching with my love of fashion. While studying fashion, I realised that students were taught technical skills but rarely taught how to build complete fashion collections.
That is what inspired me to create Cohesive Fashion — a studio and a method that helps aspiring designers think, create and grow like professional designers.
Fashion isn't about following trends. It begins with understanding the person who will wear the garment. When inspiration, colour, fabric, silhouette and detail all work together for the wearer — fashion becomes meaningful, wearable and cohesive.
